Grading & Assignment Policies
7th Grade Computer Applications consists mainly of self-paced, tutorial guided projects. Students are expected to complete projects in a timely manner and turn them in on time following established classroom guidelines.
Homework consists of checking the agenda for the following day's assignments and watching any related videos to prepare for class. If internet access is not available at home, it is expected that students will complete the homework in the computer lab before class.
Missing work or projects with low grades can be completed or corrected and turned in for regrading by placing them in the Late-Resubmitted folder in my dropbox. Dropbox assignments are due the day they are assigned and cannot be made up unless you are absent.
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check the agenda on the classroom website and make up any missed work before returning to class. A zero will be entered in the gradebook until they are turned in and corrected.
Quizzes with available practice tests, such as BrainPOP and Microsoft Office tutorials, are not available for retakes since students are given the opportunity to study and practice for these quizzes at their own pace before taking them.
I am available in room 74 before school (as early as 7:00 am most days), during break, lunch, and after school for students who wish to come in and work on assignments or need extra help. The library computer lab is also open from 7:30-3:45 daily. Bus transportation is provided for students who stay to work. Most assignments can be completed on any computer with an internet connection.
